about
Wandering through different spaces and most importantly, the social and political events in Central of Hong Kong, Rabbit Travelogue: Central Region is not only a production related to the listening of specific soundscape, it is also about how sound engaging into to society, how to convey the social and political aspect of daily life through documentation of sound. From the processed soundwalks to the demonstration of Queen Pier (one of the historical symbol and public space in Hong Kong), and ending with the demonstration of Anti-express national railway outside Legislative Council in Hong Kong, this release tries to express the artist’s personal sentiment toward the current status and the destruction in Hong Kong: “a city forgets the past, its future will not be beautirful.” (from the banner of exhibition “Coming Near you: The Destruction of Central Hong Kong”, 2005)
