about
VIREDIV is the result of the live collaboration of Edwin Lo and Bjorn Ho in Once Upon a Summer Live. Starting with the monologue Chai Ling, one of the student leaders in Tienanmen Square Protest, this performance aims at to speak for certain feelings and thoughts through the language of our sound expression. And, after 20 years, we still remember.
****
A short note after the performance:
I think it is an amusing moment that someone shouted at us (or I guess the one was pointing at me) said: “I don’t understand.” (and Björn said: "i've heard 'wasting electrictiy!'") Indeed we didn’t have anything or message to give audiences. We were just using our language to express certain feelings or listening experiences. And, yes, what I can say to this guy is: “I don’t understand what you don’t understand and I never beg you for your understanding with your narrowed mind.“-- Edwin Lo
